Sue Westin (my wife and professional artist) and I were two of the 30 artists chosen to participate in a field trip to the Sea of Cortez to gather information for future paintings - that will be exhibited in the traveling exhibit titled "THE SEA OF CORTEZ". The show is scheduled to premiere at The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum Art Institute in 2013.</div><div><br /></div><div>This trip and upcoming exhibition is organized and curated by David J. Wagner, Ph.D. and was led by Richard C. Brusca - author and scientist specializing in the Sea of Cortez. I would especially like to thank The Susan K. Black Foundation for their sponsorship of the bus transportation from Tucson to San Carlos and back.<div><br /></div><div>The exhibition will no doubt focus on the flora and fauna around San Carlos in the state of Sonora (the area in which we explored) and will include <i>Plein Air</i> works, journal entries, finished studio paintings, sculptures and drawings.
